THEATRE 1 – THEATRE CREATION

5 to 7 years (Bilingual)

Saturdays for 8 weeks from April 20 to June 8

9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Instructors: Jasmine Mrenica & Laurie-Ève Dumont-Bal

An introduction to the amazing world of Theatre! Through fun-filled games, your children will learn improvisation, character creation and storytelling skills. With a focus on creativity and learning to work together, your children will have a blast learning to be confident on stage. Furthermore, during the session, there will be an exploratory workshop on puppetry! Join us for a show on the last day of classes for a presentation encompassing everything we’ve been learning in class!

THEATRE 2 – THEATRE EXPLORATION

8 to 12 years (Bilingual)

Saturdays for 8 weeks from April 20 to June 8

11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

A more in-depth look at the world of Theatre and acting. Using a variety of exciting games and fun acting exercises, your children will build their confidence and their acting repertoire. They will learn about characterization, plot structure, stage presence, the rules of improvisation and important techniques that will help strengthen and sharpen their acting skills. Theatre games will encourage them to work together, get out of their comfort zone and help each other towards becoming skilled actors! This class will result in a final outcome presentation for family members!

THEATRE 3 – PROFESSIONAL PERFORMERS

13 yrs. and up (Bilingual)

Saturdays for 8 weeks from April 20 to June 8

Instructors: Jasmine Mrenica & Laurie-Ève Dumont-Bal

1:30 p.m. – 3 p.m.

This unique class is redesigned and adapted each session to focus on the students’ interests; we structure our lessons around our students. Be it through improvisation, writing, directing, stage managing, characterization, scene development, movement/voice work or professional management, our aim is that teens build their trust in themselves, in their creativity and intelligence as well as in the other performers around them in a fun, friendly and professional environment. This class will result in a final outcome presentation for family members and friends!
